How We Planted a Dream: Our Flower Farm Story
How We Planted a Dream: Our Flower Farm Story
Who We Are
Hi, we’re the Skokowskis! We both grew up in the close-knit community of Chester County, Pennsylvania. I’m Theresa—and after spending over 25 years working in the military and federal government, I found myself longing for something slower, more creative, and more connected to the earth.
That longing led us here—to this flower-filled life. In just 60 days, we packed up, moved to a small farmette we purchased in Milton, Pennsylvania, and planted the very first seeds (well, thousands of them!) of this dream. Every piece of my past—from traveling the world to managing high-stress environments—has shaped the way we farm today. It’s been a wild, wonderful journey, and we wouldn’t trade it for anything.
What We Grow
Our flowers are grown with care, love, and an eye toward what the seasons naturally offer. They’re vibrant, fragrant, and chemical-free—just beautiful, real blooms that are as good for the planet as they are for your home, your events, or simply your everyday joy.
Each year, we introduce a few new varieties to see how they perform in our fields and how much interest they spark in our community. For the 2025 season, we’ve added rows of Hollyhocks, Stock, Gladiolus, and Lilies—some classic beauties we’re excited to grow and share.
Some of our tried-and-true favorites include Dahlias, Zinnias, Cosmos, Veronica, Delphinium, Rudbeckia, Snapdragons, Carnations, Lisianthus, and Eucalyptus. We also plant generous plots of sunflowers and wildflowers for our U-pick visitors to enjoy—fields designed for wandering, gathering, and soaking in the magic of fresh blooms.
And when a bloom isn’t growing in our fields? We don’t import—we collaborate. We work directly with other small flower farms across the U.S. who share our values. As part of the American Grown Flowers movement and Slow Flowers Society, we proudly source only 100% American-grown blooms, helping to support ethical farming, protect the environment, and keep our industry rooted right here at home.
Every bouquet we create reflects what we believe in: sustainability, simplicity, and beauty with meaning. When you support our farm, you're supporting more than flowers—you’re helping us care for the land, build community, and spread a little joy, one stem at a time.
We’re so happy you’re here. Follow along as we grow, bloom, and continue this beautiful journey—together.
